Howdy! I’m Sophie, the Owner & Virtual Assistant behind Rural VA.

One of the things I love most about being a Virtual Assistant is building genuine relationships with the businesses I support. I believe the best support comes from understanding both the business and the people behind it — taking the time to listen, learn and lend a hand where it matters most.

When I'm not behind my desk, you'll find me making the most of life between South QLD and Northern NSW. I enjoy combining my passion for organisation with the flexibility of remote work, allowing me to support businesses wherever they're based.

How Rural VA came to be:

After six years dedicated to working in healthcare, I was ready for a new adventure. I hung up my Practice Manager boots, headed to QLD, and while on the road, I was presented with the opportunity to take on temporary administration contracts supporting multiple businesses.

Working with businesses of all shapes and sizes, I quickly realised how much I loved the variety. Every new business brought different challenges, new systems, and new opportunities to make someone's day a little easier. It showed me just how valuable reliable administrative support can be, and how even the smallest efforts can make all the difference.

This experience completely changed the direction of my career, leading me to where I am today — a business owner and virtual assistant supporting businesses across Australia.
